R.He tried Taurai Prosper Vanhuvaone, who was arrested because of his status as a doctor last year, began yesterday with the state nullifying his bail after being convicted of my fraud charges.
The trial is chaired by Judge Paulwao, Mrs. Eva Mota, who returned the case to March 27.
The case grabbed the headlines after his arrest last year. Vanhuvaone, who was wearing a green designer suit and represented itself, shortly after the trial was postponed.
It was discovered during the trial that one of the witnesses of Miss Samantha Ziki, a former friend who claimed to be deceived by $ 600 in a failed nursing fraud.
Vanhuvaone, while interrogating Mrs. Ziki, was accused of being a bitter precedent, who is now creating lies to return to him. He said he contributed to part of the money that Mrs. Ziki claims.
“You are bitter and settled on dozens using courts,” said Vanhuvaone.
He told the court that Mrs. Ziki threatened him with magic, which is why he confessed it.
“I said you will work on me for me, for this reason, you confessed,” said Vanhuvaone from the Parbourfields suburb in Bulawayo.
He was arrested at some time last year after his “cover” was detonated because of his denial as a doctor at the MPilo Central Hospital and controlled those looking for medical attention such as PROSPER MPOFU.
Vanhuvaone faces accusations of fraud and misrepresentation.
Hospital internal investigations revealed that Vanhuvaone had not been discovered from an office inside the hospital’s wide building for about two years.
It is reported that Vanhuvaone publishes its operations to UNIRWAWAWO Hospitals (UBH), where he deceived patients and employees similarly.
According to the state case, which was presented by Mr. Samuel Mboufo, on September 16 of last year at the MPilo Central Hospital, Vanhuvaone attended patients looking for medical help, pretending to be a medical practitioner and drugs described for them.
He said: “Article 121 of the Health Professions Law has violated Chapter 27:19 (unregistered persons who exercise that they are registered or represent themselves medical practitioners).”
As for the second count, Mr. Mboufu said that Vanhuvaone was accused of fraud, as in Article 136 of the Criminal Code (blogging and reform), Chapter 9:13.
“On August 17 of last year at MPilo Central Hospital, the person accused with the complainant was distorted as a registered doctor, and thus managed to treat it.
“Because of this distortion, the complainant agreed to his treatment and fees were imposed on $ 120 for services,” he said.
Mr. Mboufu said that Miss Haouf discovered that she was deceived when her condition did not improve.
In Count Three, Mr. MPOFU said that Vanhuvaone, between February 2023 and April 2024, blocked Mrs. Ziki with a value of $ 600 after he pushed her to believe that he was a medical practitioner and had an impact on her insurance at the Nursing School at Mpilo Central Hospital. Cronic
