A teacher from Hwange eats hot soup after he was reported to the police for biting his students during the lesson.
According to the Chronicle, Oscar Ndlovu (49), a teacher at Niloswe Primary School in Gambesi, allegedly went berserk and began biting his 23 students as punishment for failing to identify a single word.
The seventh grade teacher faces imminent arrest after the police began investigations into the matter following a report from one of the students, a 12-year-old girl.
Matabeleland North Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Glory Banda, confirmed the development, saying a victim’s report revealed the strange behaviour.
“I can confirm that on 23 October 2024, at 1200 noon, the complainant filed an assault report at ZRP Jambezi that she was bitten by an accused person who is her school teacher,” Insp Banda said.
“The accused asked the class about the meaning of the word ‘dynamic.’ However, the learners failed to explain the meaning of the word and the teacher became angry.
Inspector Banda said that in a moment of madness, he assaulted the complainant, a female, by biting her once on her right shoulder. It is understood another 22 learners suffered the same fate when the teacher bit them in a rage.
