TSHINGA DUBE DECLARED NATIONAL HERO newsdzeZimbabweNewsdzeZimbabwe

Strong liberation hero Retired Colonel Chenga Dube has been declared a national hero. Colonel (Retd) Dube died on Thursday evening at Mater Dei Hospital in Bulawayo at the age of 83 after a battle with kidney failure.

His death has thrown the nation into mourning, with people from all walks of life visiting his residence in Killarney, Bulawayo, yesterday.

Zanu-PF National Chairman, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, visited the Dube family to deliver a message of condolence to President Mnangagwa.

“We come with a heavy heart, sending His Excellency to first extend a message of condolence to the family on the very sad loss of our dear brother and friend, a revolutionary and strategist who sacrificed his life at a young age to liberate our homeland.” Dear Zimbabwe. Secondly, we come to deliver a message from His Excellency, in his capacity as Head of State, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and First Secretary of the ZANU-PF party, a message in which he bestows the title of National Hero on the late Chinga Justice Dube.
