A policeman was captured and lured by the husband of the married woman he was dating.
Manica Post reports that a police officer, Irvin Matare, was last Saturday ordered by Chief Mutasa to pay three beasts, a goat and a rooster as damages for adultery to Daniel Sharara for destroying his marriage.
The matter escalated to traditional court after Matare refused to pay US$1,800 in compensation for adultery to Sharara. Matare had a love affair with Sharara’s estranged wife of 18 years, Primrose Machwenika.
“I had my wife’s phone in my hand when a love text message from this man appeared. Instead of replying, I decided to send him a message using my mobile phone, pretending to be Primrose, and advised him to call me on the new number because the other number was now in the custody of my ‘husband’.
The unsuspecting Matari fell into the trap, and continued sending steamy love letters to Sharara. The nature of the text messages showed that Matare knew that Primrose was married.
