President MNG Mnangagwa has said he will not seek a third term, but that has not stopped Zanu PF in Manicaland province from backing calls for him to stay in office.
“ZANU PF Manicaland appreciates the exemplary and visionary leadership of His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, Chief Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, and now wishes to congratulate him on assuming the Chairmanship of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) at the 44th SADC Summit hosted by Zimbabwe on 17 August 2024. The SADC Summit was a resounding success.
“In recognition and acknowledgement of the developmental achievements of the Second Republic under the leadership of His Excellency the President, Chief ED Mnangagwa, the ZANU PF Party in Manicaland Province has resolved that His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa will continue to serve the nation as President and First Secretary of ZANU PF until 2030 and beyond.
“This will allow for a sustained development trajectory as evidenced by Vision 2030, the brainchild of President Ed Mnangagwa.”
