A 37-year-old Zombie man is being treated for injuries sustained when he was severely assaulted with rocks and stabbed unconscious with Colombian knives in a dispute involving a gold mine.

The incident occurred at St Andrew Business Centre, Zombie District under the command of Chief Gwisela on Friday 24 May 2024 at approximately 1700 hours.

Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the development, saying the police were searching for the suspects and appealed to them to provide information that could help in their arrest.

“I can confirm that we have had an incident where a man was severely assaulted over a dispute over a gold mine by four zombie men.

“We humbly request the assistance of the public to locate the suspects wanted to face attempted murder charges,” Mahoko said.

Police identified the victim as Tishona Chiremba (37) and the suspects as Mibongo Ngwalati, Jerry Kuenya, Nathan Mdudusi and Mdudusi Kuenya, all from Luisani village under the command of Chief Gwesela Vzombe.

Allegations indicate that the four suspects approached the victim at St Andrews Business Center and accused him of being involved in a misunderstanding with them earlier regarding gold mining.

They beat him with stones and he tried to run away. They caught up with him about 100 meters from the business center and stabbed him several times with Colombian knives.

He suffered several serious stab wounds. The victim was admitted to Zhombe Mission Hospital where he is receiving treatment. Telezem News
