A Zimbabwean based in South Africa’s 20-year marriage collapsed after his wife of six years cheated on him.
Kosam Munimu said his unfaithful wife, Virginia Rosairo, gave him a divorce code last weekend.
My name is Kassam Monemo and I am from Nganga area in Sadza but currently residing in Cape Town,” Kassam wrote on Facebook. I am married and have a wedding. My wife comes from Chipinji, and her name is Virginia Rosairo. We got married in 2004 and went to South Africa together in 2016.
“We were staying well but at some point in 2018 I saw my wife acting strange and was spending more time in the kids rooms.
“Another day, I saw her sleeping in the girls room while she was on the WhatsApp chat, and she was acting like she was talking to someone. I confronted her before asking for her phone but she refused. This made me more suspicious and gave me more depression.
“Then one day she took the phone but she refused with the password until one day I was able to get her password. After that I took the phone to my workplace where I opened all the messages and found out that she was dating Cosmas. They were talking about their love affair, vaitaura nyaya dzekurara vese uye kubvisana humhandara kwavakaita naCosmas uya.
“They were also despising me and the words affected me more. I did not expect that from my wife. It was difficult for me. I decided to leave home and live in the forest for two weeks.
“I thought about killing myself but then I thought my remaining children would suffer. While I was in the bush, one of the church elders invited me to stay in the church. I was later helped and returned home but it continued to affect me because my wife did not change her behaviour.
