Police have finally made progress in their investigation into disturbing incidents where graves were vandalized at Warren Hills Cemetery.
More than 85 cemeteries have been vandalized so far.
Last week, Gilbert Mukandatsamba, 34, was allegedly found vandalizing the grave of Mavis Mukandara by security officer Tengwa Matukwa.
The state linked Mukandadsamba to the 83 graves destroyed on April 15, and claimed that he went into hiding after the cases were widely publicized.
Mukandadsamba appeared in court over the weekend charged with vandalizing graves and will return to court today for bail considerations.
The cost of the vandalism is estimated at US$45,000.H Metro
