A Ballantyne Park man lost $40,000 and a laptop to thieves who stole from his parked Ford Ranger.
Farai Munyawara, 34, had parked his car in his yard when the robbers broke in and made off with cash and an Apple MacBook laptop worth US$500.
He heard the car alarm go off, a few minutes after parking it, and ran to the car where he discovered that someone had smashed the front passenger window.
Harare Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Lukemore Chakanza, confirmed the incident, saying an Apple MacBook laptop was found dumped on the other side of the road.
“Police are investigating a car theft case involving a large sum of money in Ballantyne Park,” Insp Chakanza said. h metro
