A pregnant woman in Harare shocked her married boyfriend after she introduced herself to his wife via a midnight phone call.
Bertha Chindiware told her lover, Anisu Dambora, that she was no longer interested in being sidelined in his family’s affairs.
Then she made a midnight call to introduce herself. After being contacted for comment, Anisu chose not to provide his opinion on the story.
Last December, the couple ended up in Chitungwiza court after an argument over some money they were demanding.
“I just want him to take care of the baby openly, not to be an underground girlfriend like he wants me to do in a little house that shouldn’t be known,” she said.
“The woman just threatened me that you would never give birth to the child I created and I hung up.
“Even now, since I spoke to his wife, he has texted me saying this is the start of another series of mistakes.”
She added: “I asked him to introduce me to his relatives, and now he refuses to take care of the child because I informed his wife of the pregnancy.”
“Everything was going well at first with Acampoda Coramba.
“He was too perfect to be true, so I asked him to introduce me to his relatives, at least one or two, a skittish kuti who expects Moana Kusidi but is afraid.
“Then on March 23, he started on his own that I told my nephew that he would report the matter to the authorities.
“Two weeks passed and the number did not appear until I started arguing that the one who made me talk was not serious, and so we started arguing.”
She said Anisu started avoiding her.
“He started avoiding coming home and just making calls and sending money.
“Then we planned for Kunuyursa last week and Akati will do it on Wednesday on Nderi leave but he could not come and spent the whole day switching off his mobile phone and I decided to call his wife’s mobile phone.” In some chats, the lovebirds were discussing a possible name for their baby. h metro
