Prosecutors said Simudzirai was drinking beer with fellow officers, including Privilege Hove and the now deceased Mirirai Chiviza, at Kotiba Ultra City nightclub on April 21 around midnight.
“The accused had a misunderstanding with fellow patrons and Constable Chiviza, stationed at ZRP Karoi Urban, came to handcuff Simudzirai and drag him out of the nightclub,” prosecutor Progress Muponde told the court.
“Hof, who was part of the shepherds, came to the rescue.
“Simudzirai produced Okapi’s knife and stabbed Hoff in the stomach causing his intestines to protrude.”
