A man had to bite his pitbull on Saturday to save a three-year-old boy from further attacks.
The man, identified only as Philip, helped rescue Takunda Junior Nyandoro, who was being attacked by his dogs along the street.
Philip was jogging with his dogs when they attacked Taconda.
As the dogs mauled Takunda, Philip had to take some desperate measures, including biting one of his own vicious dogs, to try to save the baby.
The minor suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital for treatment.
Takunda’s father, Kelvin Nyandoro, told H-Metro that Philip has shown no remorse.
“My child sustained serious head injuries, was in shock and showing signs of distress due to the accident.
“If he had not lowered his head during the attack, the vicious dog could have slit his throat.
“What bothers me is the attitude shown by Philip.
“Besides failing to lead his dogs, he has disappeared from his home and has never shown any remorse. His parents are also uncooperative, as is the investigating police officer.
Kelvin said: “I am a poor worker who does not have money, but my son needs a lot of money for treatment. He was bitten by their dogs and they are no longer involved.”
Philip could not be reached to get his side of the story.
