GIRL (6) ELECTROCUTED IN NORTON newsdzeZimbabweNewsdzeZimbabwe

A six-year-old girl from Norton was electrocuted. The accident occurred in Katanga. Chloe Kakurira died after stepping on live cable wires near a Talk Shop.

Her uncle, Workmore Katsande, tried to save her life, but it was too late. She died instantly.

Anna Mutandagai, Chloe’s grandmother, told H-Metro: He added: “The electric shock started yesterday (Monday), but it was not that strong. Some neighbors felt this. “I had no idea it would take my granddaughter’s life.”

The sadness and sorrow were palpable in Anna’s voice as she contemplated the tragic loss of Chloe, a little girl who had her whole life ahead of her.

She said she regretted that she did not see the danger posed by faulty electrical wiring from the neighbor’s house.

“Her body was taken to Norton Hospital, and electricity was illegally connected to a car wash and barber shop.

“ZETDC visited the site and confirmed that the communications were unauthorized and unsecure.

“They cut off the electricity to the house to prevent further tragedy.”

One witness said: “Investigations must continue to achieve justice for Chloe and her family and to ensure this type of tragedy does not happen again.” h metro
