TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR KISSING IN A BAR TOILET newsdzeZimbabweNewsdzeZimbabwe

Two Beitbridge men, including a stock controller for a leading drinks company, were caught kissing, hugging and fondling each other in the toilet of a Beitbridge pub.

Ayanda Nkomo (26), who works at the beverage company, and Will Jarisha (28), from Naharira, Norton, were each fined US$150 or 120 days in prison by regional magistrate Innocent Pibora.

They were charged with sodomy and were sentenced on Tuesday. The defendants were represented by Matthew Mabiba of Masawi & Partners.

On March 31, at Konka nightclub in Beitbridge, the defendants were drinking beer and at about 11:40 p.m., they hugged each other and went to the toilet in the nightclub, the state said.

They went into the bathroom and closed the door behind them. Inside the toilet, Nkomo took out his erect penis and they started stroking each other around the waist and kissing each other mouth to mouth.

The nightclub security officers, Admire Batisai and Nyasha Chinyaure, suspected why the accused went to the toilet hugging each other and immediately followed them.

They opened the toilet door and saw Nkomo and Garisha making out and kissing each other mouth to mouth while Nkomo had his penis outside his pants.

After being confronted, Nkomo fled but was arrested by Patisai. Chinyor arrested Garisha, who remained in the toilet.

The accused were taken to ZRP Beitbridge where a report was lodged which led to their arrest. Masvingo mirror
