FAMILY RULES OUT SUICIDE newsdzeZimbabweNewsdzeZimbabwe

The family of prominent Chitungwiza businessman, Robert Mushinrebe Madzamba, popularly known as Coldaz, has put to rest speculation surrounding his death.

The family said he died of heart failure.

He is known for helping Dancehall musician Killer T climb the ladder of success.

Koldaz ran a great place in Huruyadzo Shopping Center in St Mary’s.

He was found dead in bed a day after visiting his mother in Kuwadzana Extension.

There were many theories surrounding his death. There were allegations that he committed suicide by eating pesticide after an argument over marital infidelity.

The other theory is that he was the victim of a dispute with some of his brothers due to a dispute over the distribution of their late father’s estate. However, a family member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said an autopsy has since proven that the businessman died of heart failure.

“On Wednesday, he went to Kwadzana to bid farewell to his mother, who was scheduled to travel to South Africa where she now resides.

“He had to stay the night at the family home and called his wife to inform her of the arrangement.”

It is said that before he went to bed, he complained about his feet.

“His mother applied some thermal massage and then they prayed before Madzamba went to sleep in the spare bedroom.

“The next morning, Thursday, his mother woke up to do household chores. She assumed that her son was very tired and therefore late in waking up.

“I became worried when he didn’t wake up late in the morning. That’s when I came into the room and shook him. There was no response.

The source said: “She then ran to seek help at the neighboring house, and a neighbor later informed her of her son’s death.”

Hundreds of revelers packed the Cold’s Night Club in St Mary’s on Saturday night to honor their community hero.

Douglas Katsvairo, brother of the late sungura musician John Chibadura, said he was robbed of a brother and advisor.

“Koldaz was a blessing not only to me, but to the community as a whole. Every time I had a problem, whether it was domestic or financial, I knew I had a shoulder to lean on,” he said.

Efforts to get comment from Killer T were unsuccessful.

Zim Dancehall Chanter included the tagline “Coldaz” in some of his songs in gratitude for the help he received from the businessman who gave him in the childhood years of his career. h metro
