The Zimbabwe Police and Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has launched an investigation into a break-in at Karowe Magistrates Court on Monday where daring thieves stole US$750.
Securities Commission spokesman, Daniel Nemokoyo, confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
“We can confirm that there was a break-in at Karowe Court on April 1, 2024. It was discovered on April 2. As we speak, our Internal Security Department and the police are investigating the matter,” Nemukoyo said.
“They broke into the fines office and stole $750.
“We appeal to members of the public to assist the police in arresting the accused and those who have information to provide to the police…”
Mashonaland West Provincial Police Deputy Spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Agari Guri, also confirmed the incident. Newsday
