Aniso Mapundera boarded the omnibus on Monday at around 6pm and took the front seat.
I paid her a fare of 50 cents.
As she was about to get off, the bus driver, Tafadzwa Zivavo, began demanding that she pay the bus fare.
Mapundera tried to tell him that she had already paid but a misunderstanding arose between the two.
Zivavo turned violent, grabbing Mapundera’s head and twisting it so she could confront him.
He hit her once in the left eye and pushed her away.
Mapundera suffered a serious eye injury and filed a police report.
Zivavo appeared in court before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi.
Meanwhile, Last Takondwa appeared in the same court charged with murder after he attacked his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.
The court heard that on March 4, at about 4am, Takundwa and his suspected accomplices – Robson Takundwa and Justin Majidi – were drinking beer inside the Big Dhara Nite Club at Glen View 4 Shopping Centre.

They allegedly blocked the entrance to the club, dragged Mushonga to the bus stop and assaulted him.
