A man from Guruvi was allegedly killed by two women, one of whom tried to kill him For rape on Friday.
Now deceased Brighton Mabira died after his targeted victim and her neighbor hit him twice with an axe handle.
Mashonaland Central Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Milton Mundembe, confirmed the case.
“I can confirm that there was a murder case in Gurov where Mabira attempted to rape Manuel Soema (31 years old) who cried for help and got it from his neighbor Litwin Chisango who came armed with an axe handle,” Mundembe said.
“Upon Chisango’s arrival, she saw Mabira struggling with Manuel in an attempt to rape her and he managed to escape.”
The women allegedly chased Mabira and caught up with him.
They allegedly took turns hitting him on the head with an ax until he lost consciousness.
After the attack, the two tied his hands and legs together with rope before tying him to a tree.
Manuel’s husband, Brian Mzambe, was called and found Mabira dead. He then filed a police report. standard
