A senior policeman has been removed from his position as commanding officer of the Norton area after it emerged he was having an illicit affair with one of his married junior officers.
The adulterous relationship between Chief Superintendent Ncube and policewoman Ethel Kusangaya was exposed after Ethel’s husband, Stalin Mvengwa, installed a vehicle tracking system on the family car.
An unsuspecting Ethel, wearing a police uniform, drove the family car to Norton after telling her husband she was going somewhere different.
Chief Supt Ncube asked Ethel to park her car and the two lovebirds took a romantic ride in his car unaware that Muvengwa was following them.
After noticing that there was a car following them, the two policemen sensed danger and Chief Supt Ncube called someone to tow Ethel’s car to a parking lot at Kuwadzana Extension.
However, it was too late when Muvengwa confronted them.
Ethel begged her husband not to assault her while she was wearing a military uniform.
Sources told H-Metro that Chief Supt Ncube broke down a sweat while begging Muvengwa for clemency.
“Hanzi Sist Kusangaya turned pale, and Chief Supt Ncube sweated as he saw the enemy approaching them.
“Siste Kusangaya shouted that her husband should not hit her while wearing a police uniform,” the source said.
Muvengwa had no kind words for Chief Supt Ncube, telling H-Metro that his lust destroyed his family.
Does this mean that his promotion was to offend junior officers?
“My disaster has damaged my family, my children and my standing in society.
“We are now undergoing counseling to heal our children and find peace with my in-laws.
“My wife stooped so low that she damaged my confidence emotionally and socially,” Muvengwa said.
Cst Kusangaya, stationed at Warren Park Police Station, has become the talk of the suburb.
The two could not be drawn for comment. h metro
