The former CCC deputy national spokesperson made the call while addressing Chamisa’s followers during a rally at MacDonald Hall, Mzilikazi in Bulawayo on Sunday this week.
Gift Sziba said people who support former Citizens Alliance for Change leader Nelson Chamisa should be wary of fraudsters who want to create chaos in opposition movements before creating a new political party.
The former CCC deputy national spokesperson made the call while addressing Chamisa’s followers during a rally at MacDonald Hall, Mzilikazi in Bulawayo on Sunday this week.
Sziba said they would expose everyone who had a hand in the chaos within the Central Advisory Council, which led to the summoning of lawmakers and councilors across Zimbabwe.
“You have clearly shown that you support Chamisa. The majority were confused by the leadership battles here in Bulawayo, where a madman rose up, but when he became mad he was not alone, he had followers.
“Some of these people were part of us, but I came here with an indictment to expose them so you know them. The majority are trying to lift Tsvangirai’s spirit forgetting that they abused him when he was alive saying he is uneducated to remove him from his position as leader.
“Today they are back. They are fighting Chamisa, so I am doing this so that you know them so that these people do not bother us where we are going and where we come from,” he said.
Sziba said CCC was no longer the appropriate vehicle to bring about change in Zimbabwe.
“There is no such thing as a standing committee in the SPLM. The MDC is in the past, not the future; the future is Chamisa and the people.
“Chamisa said the CCC is no longer the means to take the people of Zimbabwe to the promised land. Those who want it, they can go there, but the people here are very clear, they want Lawyer Nelson Chamisa, not that vice president and secretary general,” Sziba said.
He said Chamisa would soon address his supporters about the new movement and the way forward.
He added: “While we are coming to you, we are not the owners of the new movement, the owner is coming. Therefore, we are opening the way so that people know where we are heading in the constituencies and wards.
“Beware of the scammers, you know them so that tomorrow these people do not come towards the elections and pretend to be part of us.
“Our goal is to unite people and work together, and when we talk about unity, we talk about agreeing on goals,” Sisiba said. Newsday
