A motorist from the Mbare suburb of Harare has appeared in court accused of assaulting a City Parking employee with a rock to the forehead after his car was pinned.
Bruce Kumurai (28) appeared before Harare magistrate, Ms Ethel Chishira, and was remanded in custody until today pending the production of an affidavit of medical certificate for the assaulted employee, Tafadzwa Kanemu.
The State alleged that on Friday at approximately 3:40pm and at the corner of First Street Mall and Nelson Mandela Street in Harare city centre, Mr Kanemo installed a Honda Fit AFF 2777 as part of his duties.
Komurai removed the clamp and walked away but returned a few minutes later with a rock in his hand and attacked Mr. Kanemo once on the forehead and punched him several times in the face.
He suffered a wound to his forehead and was medically examined. Mr. Kanemo reported the matter to the police which led to Komurai’s arrest. Announce
