A self-styled prophet is on the run for allegedly sodomizing two 12-year-old boys at his Hatfield shrine.
Madzbaba Jalil Munondenzwe (22), of Johan Masoi yi Muchingekwa, is alleged to have raped two of his aides known as “Fasundusi” at his shrine along Chiremba Road.
Harare Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Lukemore Chakanza, said they were appealing for information to assist them in arresting Madzbaba Monondenzwe.
“On 23 December 2023, Madzibaba reportedly took two 12-year-old boys to his shrine.
“Madzibaba showed the minors a pornographic video at the shrine during the night.
“At around 3am, Madzibaba reportedly raped one of the boys and then sodomized the other in a tent.
“The two boys reported the matter to Madzbaba’s assistant and their mother and a police report was filed,” Inspector Chakanza said.
Sources said Madzbaba Monondenzwe moved to Marondera where he was seen praying.
A resident reported it to the police and he was arrested.
The sources said that Madzbaba fled when the officers stopped their car to relieve himself. h metro
