Statement on the meeting of the Permanent National Committee of the Citizens’ Alliance for Change, January 28, 2024
The National Standing Committee of the Citizens Alliance for Change, elected at the Gweru Conference in May 2019, met today, Sunday, January 28, 2024, to consider various issues related to the affairs of the party.
The National Standing Committee reiterated the urgent need to stabilize the party, as well as create unity and cohesion across the party structures.
Given the special circumstances in which the party finds itself, the National Standing Committee has noted the need for the party to communicate in clear terms with party members in particular, and the people of Zimbabwe in general. As a result, the National Standing Committee decided to appoint Mr Nqobisitha Mlilo as acting spokesperson for the party, with immediate effect. Mr. Caston Mateo will deputize Mr. Melillo as First Deputy Spokesman and Mr. Decent Bagella as Second Deputy Spokesman.
Further announcements will be made in due course.
