Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Councilor Redcliffe Ward 3 and Mayor Clayton Masiatsva has died.
Radcliffe City Clerk Be Calm Jumba confirmed his death to The Mirror in an interview.
He said Masyatsva died at Tobomas Clinic in Kwekwe after a brief illness this afternoon. Jumba added that burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
“Yes, I can confirm that I received sad news this afternoon that the mayor has passed away.
“He died this afternoon upon admission to the Tobomas Clinic in Kwekwe after a short illness,” he added.
Jumba said Masyatsva was not feeling well after suffering from an undisclosed illness.
He served as Mayor of Redcliffe for three consecutive terms.
