Bikozulu Khumalo escaped death unhurt when his car overturned about 60 kilometers from the Nyamabanda border post on Wednesday.
Khumalo is one of the founders of Sports Science and has coached athletics in Zimbabwe and was one of the brains at Bulawayo Chiefs.
He was traveling with four others to Malawi, including his wife.
He and another passenger were not injured, but his wife and two others were injured.
“All five passengers survived, my wife suffered from neck and shoulder strain, one of them suffered bruises due to glasses, while the third complained of a neck injury.
“The body of the car was severely damaged,” said Khumalo, who headed by bus to Malawi, where he now works at that country’s university.
He is a former teacher at Ngobe, Segunde and Sikhulele Secondary Schools and has also lectured at the National University of Science and Technology. Chronicle
