A dispute between a couple over unequal treatment of their children ended badly after the wife stabbed her husband twice in the ribs out of anger.
Oliet Million (37) yesterday appeared before Harare Regional Magistrate Mr Stanford Mmpange facing charges of attempted murder.
She was released on $50 bail and remanded in custody until February 15.
The complainant in this case is Teshavara Madzmor.
While prosecuting, Mr. Anisu Chiringi alleged that at about 2pm on Monday, at House No. 149 Phase 2 Eastview, Million sent her child to Madsmore’s workplace with the latter’s child to ask for money to buy some tomatoes.
Madzimure gave his child sweets and this did not sit well with Million who then went to his workplace where she accused him of not treating children equally.
The two parties returned home to solve the problem. The court heard that Million grabbed Madsmore by the neck and pushed him.
She took a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband twice in the side, below the rib, and the neighbors came to save him.
Madsmore then reported the case to the police which led to the arrest of Million. Announce
