“The video contains company information about the water cart, as well as people claiming to work for Adela.
“As of January 16, some news publications and tabloids have also circulated the video.
“We would like to point out to the public that Adela Contracting is a reputable plant rental company in Zimbabwe.
“Our core business is the supply and rental of factory equipment.
“We do not distribute water for profit purposes to individuals or companies, and our company has never ventured into such a business.
“Adela Contracting has been contracted by Runt Dutoit Property Developers, to supply plant and equipment for road construction purposes in the Kambanji area, Greystone Park, between Gaydon Drive and Maranzi.
“In the area where the video was taken, a stream of fresh water runs across Outspan Drive.”

Due to the heavy rains that the area witnessed over the past few weeks, large amounts of rainwater accumulated, which had to be diverted.
