Sandra Ndebele says she will not give up the entertainment industry despite taking up a public position as Ward 20 councilor in Nkolumani 12, Bulawayo.
The 42-year-old believes that God has given her a special calling to deal with the masses who need her services and attention.
“I have ended 2023 on a high note after being elected as Ward 20 councilor in Bulawayo.
“Like the entertainment industry, my new job requires me to deal with the public and I have always been exposed to large crowds.
“Holding public office will not keep me from the entertainment industry, which came first. We will use this post as a way to engage people wherever we perform and every time I communicate with residents,” she said.
Sandy, who went through the esteemed Enkululeku Yapacha School of Arts (IASA). In Bulawayo, she said she enjoys her two jobs, which come with a lot of responsibility.
“To be honest, I am good at both jobs, and I am willing to learn and change the lives of many.
“As a consultant, providing services is my top priority, and as an artist, there is something coming very soon.
“I am working on my 11th album scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2024
“My squad is also busy with training to keep fit and focused.” Unlike most groups that go on annual vacation during this time of year, Sandy has a different approach.
“Of course, business is low in January, but my crew and I take reservations during this time of year.
“We don’t believe in comfort at this time of year like others do because we are here to serve the people.
“We have a large constituency to meet the needs of both the entertainment industry and our council,” she added.
