A security guard in Mutoko lost his service pistol to a commercial sex worker after failing to pay for her services.
Evidence Mangunono (27) hired a sex worker identified only as Choice and had sex with her near a bank he was guarding.
The sex worker reportedly took the gun after Mangunono failed to pay for her services.
The matter was revealed in the Mutoko Courts where Magistrate Chidza Gatsi sentenced Mangunono to a year in prison for violating the Firearms Act.
However, the guard will perform 325 hours of community service at Hurungwe Primary School in Murewa after Gatsi suspended the sentence.
According to the state, on January 7 of this year, Mangunono drank sex-enhancing herbs with colleagues and hired a sex worker. He had sex with the sex worker in the back of the bank he was guarding.
After the act, Mangunono failed to pay for the service, prompting the sex worker to take his service gun as collateral. The next day, his company discovered his service pistol was missing and filed a police report.
Mangonono later followed up and made a paid choice to recover the gun.
